Communities 2.0

Privacy

Dear Viewer,

The purpose of this website is to provide information about the services provided by Communities 2.0. The Communities 2.0 wesbite is managed by the Wales Co-operative Centre which is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy online. This statement sets out our Privacy Policy and explains what we do with the personal information that we collect from our users. Please read the following to understand our views and practices regarding personal information.

If you have any questions regarding privacy on this website, please email Catherine Evans, Marketing Manager.

Web Activity Reporting

We use ‘Google Analytics’ to monitor website usage. This records your IP addresss, and browser type, date and time of activity. None of this information is tied to a personally identifiable piece of data (like e-mail address). The Wales Co-operative Centre will use this information to analyse general page view and referrer activity to get a sense of traffic patterns and placement effectiveness.

What other information do we collect about you?

From time to time, you will be asked to submit personal information about yourself (e.g. name and email address) in order to receive or use services on our website. Such services include newsletters.

Clearly, the better that we know you, the better that we can tailor our services to meet your needs, but we will limit the collection and use of your information to the minimum required to deliver, develop and improve our services to you, which includes advising you about services, events and other opportunities.

Information recorded about you is not rented or provided to any other business or organisation other than the Wales Co-operative Centre.

Newsletters

We will not send you email newsletters at any time unless you have expressly opted in to receive them.

We also include web beacons (also known as clear GIFs or web bugs) in our emails to track the success of our marketing campaigns. This means that if you open an email from us we can see the date and time of this activity and if you click any of the links in the newsletter we record the pages of our website that you visit.

Each email sent contains an easy, automated way for you to cease receiving email from us, or to change your expressed interests. If you wish to do this, simply follow the instructions at the end of any email.
