Social Enterprise

If you want to do something, and you think digital technology might help you do it better, we want to hear from you.

Setting up a website? Buying a computer? Not sure how to do something on your computer? We can help you either face-to-face or via our telephone helpline.

Buying a computer

But maybe your business wants to do more than that? Maybe you want to find new customers, start trading online or develop a new service. If you’ve got an idea to expand your social enterprise or make it more sustainable using technology, we’ll help you with a package of support which might include;

  • Advice to shape your idea
  • Training and mentoring to learn essential skills
  • Practical support to solve technical problems
  • Help finding additional support from other agencies
  • Financial support

Examples

We carried out an ICT review of Zoom Cymru in Merthyr Tydfil, to help them expand their young people's film and media development programme to other areas.

We’re helping Seibercofis in Caernarfon to develop its pilot computer recycling and IT access project into a social enterprise that will benefit the local community.

We’re working with Llandudno social enterprise, ByteBack Training, which reinvests the proceeds of commercial computer training in free ‘open’ courses that are offered to local residents.

We’re working with Promo Cymru to support their development and use of Ebbw Vale Institute as a venue and base for creative industries.
